Youngster Clinic Changes
(6/1/2006)Our Youngster Clinic format is changing slightly to 90-minutes per session (from 75 minutes). Our rates are also changing to $45 per 3-session package or $60 per 4-session package and $20/session for drop-in.
November Schedule Changes
(11/1/2005)We will be bringing back the Tuesday 5:30-7pm clinics, subject to demand, starting 11/1. Watch our weekly announcements for the schedule. Along with that change, our Tuesday clinics will be changing to 7-8:30pm. Our Thursday clinics will remain 7:45-9:15pm.
Schedule Changes
(6/7/2005)We will not be having a 5:45-7:15pm clinic on Tuesdays for the next five weeks, due to a conflict with times with the Mission College PE Tennis classes, which run M-Th 5-7:25pm. We will also be changing the times for our other Tuesday and Thursday clinics to 7:30-9pm (from 7:15-8:45pm). We hope this doesn't inconvenience too many people.
Serve Technique Clinic on Jan. 13

Adult Beginner Clinics
(12/29/2004)We are planning on holding a series of adult beginner clinics for adults who would like to learn the basics of how to play tennis or for adults who are looking to get back into the game. We'll cover forehands, backhands, volleys, overheads, and serves. Each session will focus on one or two strokes, and the entire series will consist of five one-hour (once a week) sessions. The cost for the series will be $70. If you or someone you know might be interested, please contact John to sign up. We'll need a minimum of 3 students to hold the class. The class will start in mid-January or early February.

(12/29/2004)Doubles-Experts will be starting up our clinics again with the new year. We'll have our regular BAITL and Women's Doubles Clinics on Tuesday (1/4), and our Coed Advanced Doubles on Thursday (1/6). We look forward to seeing you out there at the beginning of the year. The new league season isn't far away, so now is the time to start getting ready!

Coed Advanced Doubles Clinic Schedule Change
(11/4/2004)Since many people have had trouble making it out for the clinics on Saturdays, we have moved the Coed Advanced Doubles Clinics to Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00pm. Hopefully, this will be more conducive to people's schedules. It's a great clinic to help you get to the next level in doubles play, and while it's growing, it's a great opportunity to get individualized instruction at clinic rates!
Results from the NTRP Grand Prix
(11/4/2004)Doubles-Experts students had some excellent results at the rain-interrupted USTA/NorCal NTRP Grand Prix tournament.
Vi Truong and Mae Lee were the finalists in the Women's 3.0 Doubles, upsetting the #2 seeds in the semis and losing to the #1 seeds in the finals. Mae also reached the finals of the Mixed 3.0 Doubles with Julius Paras. They lost a very close match to the #2 seeds, 5-7 in the third!
Lori Cruz-Spray reached the semi's of the Women's 4.0 Singles, losing a tight 3-setter to the eventual champion.
Finally, John Togasaki got second place in the Men's 5.5 Doubles, beating the #2 seeds in the semi's and losing to the #1 seeds in the finals.
Congratulations to everyone for the excellent results!

(9/17/2004)The new schedules are all posted on the Programs page. Check the clinic your interested in for the current schedule. Note that the advanced coed doubles clinic on Saturdays is no 2:30-4pm rather than 2-3:30pm.
Serve Technique Clinic
(8/29/2004)Back by popular demand, we are having another Serve Technique Clinic on Tuesday, September 7, from 7:30 to 9pm. Tina will be teaching all aspects of the serve, so if your serve needs improvement, this is one clinic you shouldn't miss!

There will be no clinics the week of August 30. We will start up the clinics again the week of September 3 with a new schedule, soon to be announced!
New Friday Mixed and BAITL Clinics
(7/14/2004)We are adding two new clinics on Fridays starting this week. The first is a coed doubles clinic, with an emphasis on mixed doubles from 6pm to 7:30pm. The second is another BAITL clinic from 7:30 to 9pm.

John Togasaki to teach Nike Adult Tennis Camps at Santa Clara University
(7/6/2004)John will be teaching the adult Nike Tennis Camps at Santa Clara University along with Marcus Bately. There are three camps scheduled: July 6-8, July 27-29, and August 3-5. The camps are organized through Nike, so click on the link on the left side of the page for information on how to register. The camps cost $195.
Bay Area Industrial Tennis League (BAITL) clinics get started
(7/4/2004)Doubles-Experts kicked off a clinic for players who participate in the Bay Area Industrial Tennis League. We had the first clinic on Tuesday, June 29, from 5:30-7pm; and the second one on Thursday, July 1, from 8:30-10pm. Both clinics were very well received, so we are going to continue them. We will have a weekly clinic on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7pm. The clinics are open to players of all levels.
Doubles-Experts.com starting adult doubles clinics at Mission College
John Togasaki and Tina Okawa will be teaching adult doubles clinics at Mission College starting the end of June. Our first clinic will be on Tuesday, June 29, at 7pm. The clinic will run for an hour and a half for women NTRP 3.0-4.0 players.
We'll be kicking off 45 minute lunch time clinics and mixed doubles clinics soon.
